Friendships and Homeschooling: How to Find Connection as a Mom
Most of us have people in our lives who we see on a regular basis. These relationships are comfortable and predictable. But what about when we long for deeper connections with others? As homeschooling mothers, our lifestyles can run counter to the other women around us. How do we navigate our need for friendships in different seasons? When we have different personalities? When we’ve been hurt or lonely? This session will be a safe space to share some stories and ideas about bridging the things that keep us isolated and learning to be vulnerable with both ourselves and others.
by Kelly Buddenhagen
Kelly is a mother of five and has been homeschooling for seven years. She credits God, iced coffee, and the encouragement of other homeschool mamas for making it this far. If you recognize her, it’s probably from the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru.
